Cyber Storm III Community Exercise #3 |
| | The Sacramento Office of Emergency Services, in partnership with the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal. EMA) and the Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS) is hosting the third in a series of community-wide table-top exercises leading up to Cyber Storm III. CS3 is a national exercise to determine how well communities respond to cyber-security attack. Community Exercise #3 will examine the community?s relationship to the state in cyber events and will focus on information sharing and analysis across state and local organizational boundaries.
We need representatives from two sectors: (1) state agencies; and (2) local/community agencies. Representatives should be managers who can make decisions, or recommend actions, in response to a cyber-security attack. Table-top exercises will present scenarios and ask participants what their organization would do:
* What information could you share?
* Who would you share with?
* What information could you accept?
* Where does it come from?
* What would you need for sharing to be permitted: policy, signed agreement, a PIO, etc.?
Participants should be familiar with information handling and sharing decisions both within their organization and with external organizations.
Community Exercise #3 will be held August 12th at the County Emergency Operations Center at McClellan Park. Seating is limited. For more information, contact Petra Martinez at the Sacramento Office of Emergency Services.
